From the pulpit to the psychotherapy room, Dr. Philip’s life has been devoted to service, healing, and human transformation. Drawing from his early roots as an ordained priest and his extensive experience as a licensed psychologist, he offers a uniquely integrative approach that honors the emotional, relational, psychological, and spiritual dimensions of healing
A Lifetime Dedicated to the Healing Power of the Heart
Dr. Philip Belzunce is more than a psychologist – he is a bridge between clinical science and spiritual wisdom.
For more than 40 years, he has guided individuals and couples in creating the inner and relational conditions necessary to heal, transform, and evolve. His work integrates mind, body, and spirit within the interconnected systems of relationship, family, community, and faith.
Grounded in both psychological insight and spiritual understanding, Dr. Philip’s approach supports people in developing the awareness, resilience, and compassion needed to navigate life’s challenges with greater meaning and purpose.
At the heart of his work is the belief that healing begins through connection—to ourselves, to one another, and to something greater than ourselves.

The Journey of Service
Ordained in the Philippines
Redemptorist Priest
Dr. Philip’s path to healing began in the Philippines, where he was ordained as a Redemptorist priest.
This formative chapter of his life was rooted in a profound commitment to service, compassion, and spiritual care. His dedication to helping others in times of suffering and transition became the foundation of a lifelong vocation centered on healing, transformation, and human dignity.
It was here that his deep desire to serve humanity took shape—an orientation that continues to inform and guide his work today as he bridges spiritual wisdom with psychological practice.
From Pulpit to Psychotherapy
A New Chapter
Guided by his enduring vocation to serve, Dr. Philip transitioned from religious ministry in the Philippines to a clinical psychology practice in the United States.
In this new chapter, he expanded his work from the pulpit to the psychotherapy room, integrating spiritual guidance with evidence-based psychological care.
This evolution allowed him to bridge two complementary dimensions of healing—spiritual wisdom and clinical understanding—offering a more integrated approach to human growth, relational healing, and transformation.

A Philosophy of Connection
Dr. Philip’s work is grounded in the belief that no one exists in isolation—we are all profoundly interconnected. Within this web of connection, healing becomes possible through awareness of the relationships we hold – with ourselves, with our partners, with family, community, and the broader human experience, and with the deeper Universal Source of Love and life itself
His focus is on helping individuals and couples recognize these connections, heal longstanding emotional wounds, and cultivate a life rooted in clarity, purpose, and conscious relationship.
“What Really Matters is the Heart”
In addition to The Eight Pathways of Healing Love, Dr. Philip is the author of Heart Shadows and What Really Matters is the Heart.
Across his writing and teaching, one core principle remains constant: The heart is the center of all transformation.
When we learn to listen to the heart—beyond fear, conditioning, and reactivity—we gain access to deeper truth, healing, and the capacity for authentic connection.
His work invites people to return to this center and rediscover what it means to live, love, and grow from a place of heartfelt awareness
